Email Change

Making sure you have access to the email address associated with your RebirthRO account is extremely important if you ever want to change the email, your password, or attempt to recover a forgotten account. You should always make sure that if stop using a certain email, you should change it if you use it for your account.

In order to change your email, you first step would be to use the My Account page on the main website. After logging in and going to that page, you will see a section that you can use to change your email. As stated before, you must have access to the email address currently linked to your RebirthRO account. It will send you an email with a link. Click on that link to confirm and your email should change.

One of the most common reasons you might want to change your email is because your email address has expired. Here are some common email providers as well as the amount of time that must pass without the account being accessed before it goes inactive / deactivated:

  • - 4 Months
  • - 1 Year
  • - 3 Weeks
  • - Never expires
  • - 270 Days / 8.5 Months
  • Gmail - Never expires


If you are unable to access the original email, the only way you would be able to change your email would be after providing sufficient proof of ownership. The following can be used to provide proof of ownership:

  • Donation Receipts from at least 2-3 months prior to your request. These are receipts sent to your email when you make a donation
  • Be the only one to access the account for at least 2-3 months. This must be done from the exact same location over the course of the 2-3 months. If you log into the account from a different location, the time resets and you must wait another 2-3 months.

Failure to provide proof of ownership will result in us being unable to assist you with changing the email address. This is a security measure to prevent people from changing your account information without your knowledge. You can plead your case and claim you are 110% the real owner, however unless you can prove it, we would be unable to assist you.


If you are able to access the email account, however for some reason you do not receive the email to change it, then you should try a couple things. First, try waiting an hour or more and try changing it again. Although uncommon, the server can fail to send you the email. Just keep trying and make sure to check the spam/junk folders.  If you've tried that multiple times and you still are unable to receive the mail, then create a ticket on Support. You may be asked to verify email access by sending an email from that address. Explain that you do have access to the email address, and include the following information:

  • Account Name:
  • One or Two character names:
  • New email address:
  • New email address (Repeat):

On one final note, if your email keeps getting deactivated because you are not using it, then we reserve the right to not change your email unless you provide a new one that does not expire. All the email providers listed above are free, so there is no excuse for using one that will expire.
